FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about our HVAC products and services.

HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning. It refers to the systems that control indoor temperature, humidity, and air quality.

Ventilation removes stale, polluted indoor air and brings in fresh air. This helps control humidity, odors, and airborne contaminants for a healthier indoor environment.

A heat pump moves heat from one place to another, allowing it to both warm a space in winter and cool it in summer unlike a furnace, which only generates heat.

A ductless mini-split system. It delivers conditioned air directly to individual rooms through wall-mounted units, without any ductwork.

A thermostat senses indoor temperature and signals the HVAC system to turn heating or cooling on or off to maintain the desired setting.

SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) measures how efficiently an air conditioning unit uses energy over a cooling season. A higher SEER rating means better efficiency and lower energy bills.

Most standard filters should be checked monthly and replaced every 1–3 months, depending on usage, pets, and air quality.

The compressor. It pressurizes refrigerant gas, raising its temperature before it moves on to the condenser coil.

The evaporator coil absorbs heat from indoor air as refrigerant evaporates, cooling the air that’s then circulated back into the room.

The condenser coil, located in the outdoor unit, releases the heat absorbed from indoor air into the outside air.
